At Elim last Sunday we heard our fourth message in a series on the Holy Spirit titled “The Gifts of the Holy Spirit”.

1 Corinthians 12:1 tells us not to be ignorant about the gifts of the Spirit.

We need to walk in the Spirit to be able to accomplish God’s purpose. And scripture tells us to eagerly desire the gifts of the Spirit (1 Corinthians 12:31).

The gifts of the Spirit are: word of wisdom, word of knowledge, faith, healing, working of miracles, prophecy, discerning of spirits, speaking of tongues, interpretation of tongues as stated in 1 Corinthians 12.

God has placed gifts in each of us to equip us for works of service and we can only identify these gifts as the Holy Spirit reveals it to us. We must take a step of faith and allow the Holy Spirit to manifest those giftings in us so that the Body of Christ may be built up, Christ is revealed to the lost, unity is established in the church and so that God is glorified!
