After 4 months of being home, we finally we able to gather again as a family. Pastor Gaby kicked off this new season with a new sermon series. Our sermon title was “Faith In The Fire” and it begins our sermon series “More Than Conquerors”. Romans 8:37 says that, “in all these things, we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.” It is who God has made us in Christ. It is easy to proclaim it, but are we living as conquerors? Many believers in the body of Christ are living defeated, and that is not the will of God for his children. His will is for us to live as conquerors. We need to walk in faith in the face of the trials before us.

We were challenged with these 3 principles that will help us pass the test of faith:

1.Do not compromise – In Daniel 3, we see three Hebrew men, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, who chose not to compromise and bow to an idol that everyone else was worshipping but rather were willing to die, believing that their God was able to deliver them.

2. Surrender to the will of God – the scripture tells us in Daniel 3, that the three Hebrew men declared that they knew their God was able to save them, however if even God chose not to, they would rather die than worship an idol. They were surrendered to God’s will whether it favoured them or not. We must be surrendered to the word of God not matter what!

3. Be steadfast – to be steadfast means, “to be firmly fixed in place”.
The three Hebrew men were steadfast in their faith, they were firmly established in faith. Even when the furnace was heated 7 times hotter, they remained steadfast in their faith in God. Are we standing firmly in the times that we face today? Are we steadfast in faith in the face of the furnace?

Life is full of ups and downs, challenges and trying times but we can walk in faith even in the fire and just like Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, we will see Jesus in the furnace with us. Amen!!
