We are created in God’s image; God is three in one (Father, Son & Holy Spirit) and so are we (body, soul & spirit).
In Adam, all died in spirit and were separated from God. But anyone who calls on the Lord’s name will be saved, made alive in spirit and live forever in Christ.
God is changing us from glory to glory, making us into Jesus’ image, so let’s be stable, put our full weight on Him & live out from our spirits as our souls are being transformed continually (1 Thessalonians 5:23).
Many pray the salvation prayer but NEVER make Him LORD of their lives, thus there is no transformation.
We all have wounds, experiences that cause ‘holes’ in our souls because of our belief in the devil’s lies. Our ‘cups’ (souls) are filled with stuff (pain, anger, loneliness, etc) and we act out as a result of the wounds, doing things to relieve and comfort ourselves; we want God to deal with our behaviour and our struggles, but God wants to deal with the root of the matter, the real issues in our souls.
Let us move from self-dependence & solving issues without God in the process, to involving Him in every area of our lives & allowing Him into the process of the things we face.
We must present ourselves as living sacrifices (Romans 12:1), truly be Jesus’ disciples so as to experience true freedom in our lives & souls (John 8:31-32) and allow God’s Word, that has the ability to divide between spirit & soul, bone & marrow, to be living and active in us (Hebrews 4:12).
You COME to Jesus and Jesus will GIVE; give you the grace, strength, healing, freedom you need (Matthew 11:28-30).
He saved us by grace and He heals us by grace (James 4:6). As we walk, He works! Only if we are submitted to Jesus will we be able to say no to the devil (v. 7). Are we double-minded, still thinking with our natural mind? If we are trying to get Jesus to follow us, rather than follow Him (v. 8 ), we should grieve over the way we live (v. 9), humble ourselves under God’s mighty hand and He will lift us up (v. 10).
Decide today to humble yourself under God and He will lift you up for Jesus is saying, “come to me and I will make you, I will give you, I will change you, I will heal you and I will give you freedom.”!
