Keeping The Faith

Without faith we can’t make it through, walk in victory and please God. As believers, we need faith at all times (Hebrews 10:38).

Many have stopped believing God because of delays, disappointments, struggles or difficulties. It’s so easy to lose faith/hope when challenges in our lives are prolonged. But God is looking to commend those who are willing to pick up their faith shield once again and begin to trust Him (Matthew 8:10).

Abraham didn’t waver in unbelief at the promise of God, but was strengthened in faith & took God at His Word. Though old, he waited for 25 years to see the promise manifest in his life (Romans 4:20). The Message translation says, “Abraham PLUNGED into the promise and believed that God would make good on what He said”.

Jesus is asking us today “where is your faith?” (Mark 4:40; 9:19; Luke 8:25).

Faith has the power to change our destinies and situations. It allows us to operate in authority and dominion. The only way we will see God’s promises come to pass in our lives is if we keep the faith. Don’t give up!

Even if you feel disappointed/angry/frustrated, don’t run from God, run to Him and tell Him how you feel.

The woman with the issue of blood tried everything and lost a lot for 12 years but she hadn’t lost her faith. And by faith took hold of her healing.

What have you lost today? If you haven’t lost faith in God, you can still receive whatever you are believing God for.

Jairus had to WAIT for the woman to receive her miracle before he received his so that his faith was boosted that the Lord will do it for him as well. He later received news that his daughter had died but Jesus said to him, “Do not be afraid, only believe”. We need to learn to ignore the enemy when he comes with fear!

At times, we need faith for miracles that happen instantly but there are times when we need faith to wait for a long time for the miracle to happen (Isaiah 40:31).

Patience displays faith while impatience disrupts faith.

Then Jesus went in to raise the dead girl with like-minded people – Peter, James and John. Be careful about the people around us. We need to ‘detox’ those around us in order to be able to keep the faith.

No matter what you are going through or waiting for, Jesus is saying to you today KEEP THE FAITH!!
