Watch And Pray

The dry season is a time of preparing for God’s blessings because His Word is true, it will surely come to pass. We have to be careful, so that when the blessings come, we have self-control & put all cravings in check. Pray & be discerning for the enemy has opened doors that seem like opportunities. Don’t take any opportunity that comes your way for anything gotten with prayer must be defended with prayer. If your not prayerful, the enemy will come and take what God has blessed you with.

The enemy steps in when you’re most vulnerable. Be discerning & pray for the enemy uses our desires to tempt us to ‘sell our birthright’. Don’t be on survival mode because God who gave you that right, will help preserve you (Matthew 4:1-3; Genesis 25:29-34). Your season of starvation is temporal; don’t jeopardize what God has blessed you with for it will haunt you & your loved ones in future (Psalm 30:5).

In this season of fatigue, you will be tempted to sleep. So watch & pray for the enemy is watching to attack when you are tired. The enemy is always alert so we shouldn’t sleep (1 Peter 5:8). But even though the enemy has planted wrong in us, God will always provide us a solution for He is always with us (Matthew 13:24-25). God will allow adversity to come our way to uproot all that is bad in us. In both good & bad seasons, when it is tempting to relax, watch & pray for at the least opportunity of laxity, the enemy attacks & seeks to plant in our fields (1 Thessalonians 5:3,17; Matthew 26:41; Luke 18:1).

We may be going through hell, but sometimes hell is good. The fire in hell refines us but consumes our enemies & all that is wrong in us. Be sensitive and discerning, devote yourself to prayer, else you will be taken by surprise (1 Chronicles 12:32; Colossians 4:2). Instead of being anxious, submit in prayer to God who rules over affairs of men (Philippians 4:6). When we come together to pray, no matter the tree, we will shake it and the fruits will fall (Acts 12:3-6).

Don’t put your weapon of prayer down. Prayer will sustain you faith (James 5:13; Luke 22:31-32). Make it a conscious habit to pray & seek the face of God in all seasons of life. God will always give us the grace to overcome the challenges.
