The Power of Expectation

I Believe

We call ourselves believers yet everyone believes what they want to believe. The gospel of Jesus Christ gives us the direction of what to believe. It is a new season for somebody, are you believing it is for you? When you have a Rhema word, personalise it like Zaccheaus who climbed on the tree to see Jesus. Jesus saw his effort and said that He would be coming to his house. Everyone went through a process for we all came to this world as babies, not as grown ups. Just as we change physically, we also change spiritually. God changes seasons and times, so we must be sensitive and aware in the Spirit. Samuel was aware (1 Samuel 9:16,20) and Jesus too, for he said, “My hour has not yet come.” While king Saul was going to fulfill the responsibility of his earthly father (looking for lost donkeys), he encountered the will of his Heavenly Father (introduced to his new season of kingship).

In our dispensation, there is the Holy Spirit, so we can all hear God. The Holy Sprit makes us hear from another dimension even before there is a manifestation, a change of season, the sound of abundant rain (1 Kings 18:41-46). Before there is a sign in the physical, there must be a sign in the spiritual. Samuel informing Saul that the donkeys were found was in the natural atmosphere, but Samuel telling Saul that God had anointed him as king was in the mind of God (1 Samuel 9). People may tell you what is in the atmosphere and it may fascinate you, but when they tell you what is in the mind of God, you doubt. When God talks to you about things at your level, you automatically believe, but when He tells you about His will/plans you end up doubting. When you are young in the faith, you ask, “how?” when you are mature, you know it will happen.

When you begin to hear the voice/intent/purpose/will of God, your lens/perspective changes. Things you could not see, you begin to see. Things you could not understand, you begin to understand (1 Corinthians 2:9-10; Jeremiah 1:5; Genesis 21:15-19). Be strengthened in your faith. God talks, God speaks, God instructs, God orders your steps. The gospel is real (2 Corinthians 4:13; Romans 4:20). God shows us the future (John 14:26). Jesus was calm and not offended for He was submitted to a divine agenda, not to the scene of the episode of what was happening (Matthew 26:21,31-32,34; Mark 16:7). Look at the bigger picture of life, and don’t let your emotions go haywire (Matthew 26:33,51). Many have misdirected things because they have not looked at the bigger picture of what God is doing in their lives. Offence is a low level frequency; don’t operate in it. A child of God is discerning; don’t assume things (Ephesians 4:17-18) for offence blocks the Holy Sprit from flowing. It becomes spots in our love feast (Jude 1:12). Everyone who is born again, has a place in God’s service. The knowledge of the Son of God makes you mature. The essence of your growth is to reach a level of discernment, you can’t be tossed to and fro (Ephesians 4:11-14). You mature by being constant in things and Word of the Lord. When you mature in God’s knowledge, God’s will and purposes for your life can be manifested (Hebrews 5:12,14).

There are things holding your life, but until the wonders of God come, they won’t let you go. Signs, wonders, miracles are a must in the believers’ lives (Exodus 3:20; 2 Corinthians 12:12; Acts 15:12; 13:2). When situations come into your life, they teach you how to pray. Without Christ in your life, your life is hopeless. Your hope doesn’t come from the natural but the spiritual (2 Corinthians 5:7). With Christ, there is a will and purpose for your life that will stand. Definitely with Christ, you are coming out of your storm. You won’t die in the storm for there is a purpose for your life (Psalm 118:17; Psalm 105:37). Your life may be telling you one story, but take heart! Heaven has another story for you! When you get a Rhema word, you are no longer bothered by the outward circumstances. Don’t walk again by what is in the atmosphere of your life, your surroundings; find out what is in the atmosphere of the heavens for your life. The Heavenly counsel is greater than your circumstances (Acts 27:10-11,13,17-27; Ephesians 2:12-13; Philippians 3:13; Luke 5:5).

Once you know what God is saying, the enemy is automatically handled. Don’t be weary about the atmosphere. Be of good cheer for there is Higher news (Philippians 1:28; 4:6; Psalm 27:1). Your enemies don’t know that they mustn’t follow you into your new prophetic season or else they will get swallowed up. There are seasons in your life that God has instituted, that once you walk into them, it damages satanic influences and breaks off satanic limitations for you have entered another height (Exodus 14)

Are you yielding to what is saying for your life? Have you substituted God for good and compensated your conscience with a religion rather than a relationship with God? You must cultivate your relationship again. When God speaks to you, LET IT ENTER YOU. Believe Him! (Ezekiel 2:2). The change comes from the inside. Once you believe, it will manifest on the outside. Your greatest hope and trust should come from the Lord. When you receive the word of God, it has to change your joy (2 Corinthians 3:17; Nehemiah 8:10). When you’re in God’s presence, buy His truth not the devil’s ‘truths’ (Proverbs 23:23)

This should be your confession: “Be of good cheer: for I believe God, that it shall be even as it was told me” (Acts 27:25; 2 Corinthians 4:13). You need the word/Rhema/light of God in you so that when He speaks, you can agree with Him. Faith comes by hearing the Word (Romans 10:17). The Lord is bringing a new season in your life!
