There is power in praise! There is the Power greater than any power! Jesus is still the LORD! Every day is loaded with benefits.
The world is becoming more intolerable to Christianity. We must still stand to defend our belief and teach our children to stand firm. Even if the world seems dark, the gospel of the Good News is still bringing change and light. God is building His church and the gates of hell will not prevail. The devil wants us to focus on how dark the world is becoming and feel like Jesus is not there, but Jesus comforts us with these words: ‘I AM WORKING, EVEN NOW, MY FATHER IS WORKING!!!’. Don’t be fooled by what you see; God is still doing mighty things.
God is asking us to follow Him so that we see what He is doing. Just as you are, come and follow Him and He will perfect you along the way. Jesus did not see Andrew and Peter as ordinary fishermen, he saw then as who He will make them become (Matthew 4:18-20). Don’t give any excuses about your weaknesses and imperfections; come as you are. Don’t allow dead situations to keep you from following Him. come, and He will make you do what He has done. Remove your eyes from the problem and put them on Jesus and He will not disappoint you; He will make the empty place full (Matthew 8:21-22).
Jesus will not judge you, even when you come to Him for the wrong reason. He knows as long as you come to Him, one word will change you. Nobody follows Jesus and remains the same. God’s interest is the finished product, because He knows as you follow Him, He keeps transforming you. People who follow Jesus are not intimidated by anything. The church is not for perfect people.
You ‘are’ now, but you ‘will be’ something else in Christ because He has the power to make you. You are not yet what you ought to be, but you are in the process. Your Father is making you to what you are ought to be (John 1:42). As you follow, the power starts flowing. It is not by your might, but by God’s Spirit. Draw others to follow God even if they don’t look like it.
Even if we have been following Christ for a while and are yet to see changes in our lives, be encouraged. We are like clay in God’s hands. When the Tanzanite stone is mined, it is rough, when it is worked on, it becomes a very beautiful blue pricey stone. Don’t give up when you fall; Jesus sees the final beautiful product in you (Jeremiah 18:2-8). People saw the man at Gadarenes as a mad man, but Jesus saw an evangelist. Jesus is hear to do something great.
Jesus will not break you farther, He will instead gently revive you. He will mend you again and do something new (Matthew 12:20). God is gathering the clouds, one by one, even if it looks like it won’t rain. God wants to make us vessels of honour. don’t pay attention to what people say about you.
Shift your eyes from your circumstances to Jesus. The Gospel is a Gospel when it calls you to repentance.
PRAYER: Lord Jesus, I decide to follow You today with all my heart, with all my soul, with all my spirit. I decide to take my eyes away from the things of the world but to come to You. Lord, come into my heart. Be my Lord and my Saviour. Turn me away from my wickedness and make me more like You, in Jesus name, Amen.
