We are looking for an excellent legal advisor to join our team. This position is responsible for the legal and regulatory aspects of Nearmap in the ANZ region and all activities in the other regions where the Group operates. This role also includes providing legal advice to the North American company`s Board of Directors, CEO and senior management. Our legal team is recognized by our firm as a trusted advisor, so the individual must have strong initiative and entrepreneurial judgment, including the ability to anticipate and analyze the potential impacts and consequences of decisions/initiatives and recommendations. It is of course assumed that you are well versed in negotiating complex business and corporate contracts and that you have experience leading external consultants in high-growth multinational organizations. This newly created and diverse position, reporting to the CFO, oversees Nearmap`s legal and regulatory affairs in the North America region and, if necessary, supports all operations in the other regions where the group operates. The role focuses on negotiating, drafting and entering into software and data licensing agreements, as well as supporting our commercial distribution activities in the United States.

Where appropriate, this role supports other regions in which our group operates and works on other legal and regulatory aspects for our group of companies. The candidate will work closely with executives to help them achieve their planned sales goals.
