As a result of the current coronavirus outbreak, many employees have been instructed by their employers to work from home in the so-called home office. In a previous legal update we published on our COVID-19 website on 27 March 2020 (Home Office Part I), we raised the issue and analysed whether working from home creates a permanent establishment for the business. Yves Klein and Claire Daams chaired a panel on arbitration and corruption at the C5 Anti-Corruption Conference in Zurich from 19 to 21 March 2018. With them, Balz Gross, Homburger, Zurich, and Ravinder Thukral, Brown Rudnick LLP, London and Paris, discussed applicable legal and procedural principles, the collection and use of evidence, and the public interest versus the private interest.

She is recognized as an expert by the WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center and is a member of the Swiss Franchising Association and has many years of experience in building Swiss franchises. At the IBA`s annual conference in Rome, Yves Klein co-moderated the show trial entitled The Briber`s Dilemma in Parallel Criminal, Arbitral and Civil Asset Recovery Proceedings, which took place at the Italian Supreme Court of Cassation and examined how the issues of circulation of evidence, professional secrecy and the privilege not to incriminate oneself in criminal cases are handled. Arbitration proceedings and civil asset recovery proceedings, in which the same persons are questioned for the same facts by an Italian criminal court, an ICSID arbitral tribunal and the English High Court. The judges of the Italian Supreme Court of Cassation, Pierluigi Di Stefano and Andrea Venegoni, served as judges and prosecutors general respectively in Italian criminal proceedings. Sir John Goldring, President of the Court of Appeal of the Cayman Islands, presided over the hearings in English and at ICSID. Yves Klein was ranked the most respected person in the practice of asset recovery by Who`s Who Legal: Switzerland in 2017. Our firm has two of the most named lawyers in our research.
